The L'Chaim Group
Welcome to Beth El's Seniors! We have provided programming for seniors from our synagogue and the surrounding community for over 10 years. Our group provides opportunities for socialization, education, and pleasurable times in the company of others. It is a time of expanding horizons, renewing friendships, and engaging in programs that interest and entertain.
Some of our past programs have included movies such as the foreign film " Left Luggage", a comedian for our annual Hanukkah Party, speakers such as Ellen Kurtz on "Five Monumental Sculptors" and Dr. Deb Smith on "The Significance of the Ten Commandments". The group has taken trips to the Museum of Jewish Heritage and the Jewish Museum in Manhattan. We also went to Philadelphia to see one of the oldest synagogues in the U.S., Mikve Israel, and the Constitution Center.
We hope you'll also take advantage of the programs that Beth El offers for all adults including our Artist-in-Residence Galeet Dardashti on Shabbat, March 16-17, 2012; our Beit Midrash Adult Education classes; Scholar-in-Residence speakers who have included JTS Chancellor Arnie Eisen.
Please check our monthly Bulletin for additional information on upcoming events or other questions. You can also contact Rich Kuperman or call the Beth El office at 973-763-0111.
